Policy Regimes, Growth and Poverty in India: Lessons of Government Failure and Entrepreneurial Success

Publisher: ICRIER

The current paper is a case study of the Indian development experience since 1950-51 based on earlier studies. It uses a mix of theory, empirical analysis, policy experience and intuition to present a picture of the evolution of the Indian economy through two major policy regimes, four sub-regimes and underlying growth trends.
